We placed a raised vegetable planting bed as requested by the family so they could grow organic greens in their backyard. Low-maintenance plants make up the softscapes for a low-water and drought tolerant. Screen trees – ice bleu yew pines are planted on the sides and back to give more privacy to the adjacent neighbors.
The backyard has plenty of space for gathering as the dream of the client. The artificial turf, the surrounding planting pockets of the planting area, and concrete steps balance the hardscapes and softscapes elements. At the front, floating steps to the porch and tile that matches the driveway make up the hardscape. Planting is mixed with shrubs and succulents such as Japanese boxwood, Elijah blue, Foxtail agave, Floribunda rose white, and El campo cape rush.
