Simple and easy to maintain landscape design as envisioned by our client. We all know that maintaining the yard is quite a task and a lot of watering. Our client opted for a more hardscape and the right amount of planting in both the front and backyard. A good idea especially for the State of California is pushing for drought-tolerant landscapes.

The client’s visioned their backyard as a clean-looking and functional space given their Japanese descent. We designed a cantilevered wooden bench and pre-fab firepit with tile veneer for their outdoor seating area. A precast concrete counter and stone veneer for their linear double burner gas grill. Concrete steps from side to back and artificial turf installed for easy lawn maintenance. 

At the front, we designed floating steps at the entry and 3-pocket areas next to porch columns with low to medium shrub hedging. Minimal planting with artificial turf and tree accent at the client’s request.
